Thailand Ocean to Ocean Relay Running 2012 - Series II

Ocean to Ocean Relay Thailand is where the starting point at Pacific Ocean and finishing point at Indian Ocean, running from Sunrise to sunset with a team of 8 runners, 1 team manager and 1 driver. 

Back in 2012, or rather since 2011, I heard of the Ocean to Ocean relay running but never have the opportunity. Until the very last minutes, I managed to get a spot in Bukit Aman Runners group! Hehe... 

Year 2012 - The Ocean to Ocean Relay running were starting from SongKhla (Pacific Ocean) to Satun (Indian Ocean) 

Amazing right. We were running with baton which touched with Pacific Ocean seawater and we ran to Indian Ocean to touch the seawater marking the end of our 132KM relay with 8 runners! 

A check with google (as at 3 Nov 2013), there's no information available on Ocean to Ocean Relay Running 2013. This year, its should be the opposite direction starting from Indian Ocean to Pacific Ocean and Sunset to Sunrise which we Bukit Aman Runners group have no intentions to joins as most of the hours are running in the dark and not able to enjoys the beautiful views along the way! 

 On friday evening, we boarded Express Bus to Hatyai and we reached at Hatyai on next morning. 

Argh... I still fancy about the complicated wiring of Thailand!

A very clean fish stall which you me cant find in Malaysia. 

This is the market where we going to "sapu" all the nice things and foods after we completed our relay. Now was just to surveying around! haha... 

Cheap ! Cheap Thailand foods! 

Argh. Enjoys it. 

Some of us already cant "tahan" and brought ! 

How frequent we can see these sweepers in KL? 

Junk Food heaven! 

Chicken leather!!! 

More Junk Foods! 

Packed with things! You name it, they have it! 

Testing... testing before buying! 

For the first time, I'm seeing this kind of presentation on the fruits! 

I asked myself why put a leave? 

Keep thinking left right front back and no answer to myself. 

So asked Peter, why they put leave. 

He replied:" Oh, that just for decoration purpose!" 

haha... 

Don't you feel like attracted by the leaves and wanted to buy? 

The biggest regret during this trip was, i never go try McD Pork Burger! 

Ish...

haha... 

Felt so surprise and excited when i saw Chinese word on the signage! 

Something that we can always find in KL.. 

It's was a hot day. We chilled at 1 small cafe shop at roadside. They have coffee machine! 

Nice and cheap foods and drinks and dessert! 

How common that a small budget cafe have a coffee machine in store???? 

At least its not happening in KL. 

Had ice-cream instead of coffee pulak. 

After had the ice-cream, we departed to Songkhla leaving Hatyai town. The journey took us about 2 hours journey to Songkhla.

Thailand Ocean To Ocean Relay Running 2012 with Bukit Aman Runners - Series

Finally, i have the time and my personal computer to updates my long long outstanding blog that i wanted to share since i completed the relay running back in December 2012. 

Its was my first trip visiting to Thailand, and i got this golden opportunity at the very last minute when there's 1 of the member not able to attend! Hoorey! 

We boarded express bus at Puduraya on Friday evening 11pm depart from KL heading to Thailand. We were arrived at the Bukit Kayu Hitam some rest stop where we have our temporary visa done by agent and had our breakfast and toilet break in early morning. 

At the Thailand custom, where the bus went parking and we Q for the custom. it's took about 1 hour for everyone got through the custom. 

First time visiting Thailand. Somehow i felt excited. 

Thailand, where's pickup heaven ! A lot of pickup cars were seen along the way to Hatyai ! 

Our bus destination are Hatyai. Where we will be boarding on our pre-arranged hired van for the relay! 

Hatyai, first time visiting. Something different. 

It's look very messy yet not really messy in real life.

Its was some sunshine cloudy day on December 2012. 

Our bus stopped not far from our hotel. 

Somehow im still obsessed with the messy cables! zzz...  

Toyota and pickup cars. It's everywhere in Thailand! There's none of Proton cars spotted in our neighbor Thailand.

It's our van! There's 3 groups of us. There's 3 vans and 3 drivers. 

My van. Really spacious! The interior that Malaysia Van never able can match with. 

I'm the most youngest, thus i got my back seat! haha...

After the lunch, we were heading to Song Khla where our relay starting ! 

The awesome lunch! 

Had our yummy lunch, and all of us in 3 Vans, still have another 2-3 hours of journey to Song Khla where we will be checking into our hotel and pick up our Ocean to Ocean relay running race bib and vest and many many other related things!

Ocean to Ocean Thailand - 11 Dec 2012

Back in Dec 2012, i have the opportunity to joins Bukit Aman Runners group who are experience in joining Ocean to Ocean Thailand. In 2012,

The route starts from the Pacific Ocean at Haad Kaew, Amphur Singhanakhorn, Songkhla and finish line at the Andaman Sea. The total distance is the about 136.6 km with 8 runners in a group.

In 2012, there's 140 teams joining the Ocean to Ocean aka Sunrise to Sunset ! It's amazing ! 

I ENJOYED THE OCEAN TO OCEAN RELAY RUN AND ALSO THE TRIP !
