271212 - LSD on weekday with group

I knew i need to run. I felt like very long time my legs did not run
on the road.

Time: 5:15am
Venue: Bukit Aman Car Park
Distance: 18km (initially planned 20km, but im too slow, cut short)
Time: 9.55KM - 1:00:57
8:45KM - 0:58:57 (By Polar RCX 5 GPS G5)

Surprisingly, i can wake up without much problem at 3.50am, as i know,
im running with group. There's something i can look forward for the
run! Really shit the #Foreveralone running session, which some time
un-avoidable.

Today running with my old hydration pack. Without i realized, i think
i have poured in about 1.5 liter of water... thank god, it's not a
burden for me but it do slow down me !

Runs. Runs. Running with the group for 20km distance for the first
time. Their speed are fast. So fast that after KTM, i'm running alone.
Leg muscles are still warming up. Just keep up with my comfortable
pace. 1 thing confirmed felt the changes: Going uphills seem
effortless after 2 days of cycling uphills and some distances with
P2K. Just can feel knees are giving some tiny pains, perhaps few days
no running, rusted. The pains are gone, after i walk a while and
resume back to running back to car park.

Back at BA, the car park condition are at its worst condition due to
clearing work and construction of multiple car park. Soon, runners
like me, are losing a charming and free for all parking venue. Soon
gotta change my running base i guess.

While on other hand... im really "kek sim" to see my Polar RCX 5 watch
showing low battery indicator! I remember i changed the battery some
where this year... can not last for 1 year jek... or perhaps, it's my
Ultra running training and cycling routines ???

End.

TPRC - Running enthusiasts to host Merdeka potluck on Saturday

TPRC - Terrence Poon Running Club. It's was suggested by someone when we were joking around during our LSD long long time ago... Suddenly, someone inside the group took the initiative and created a Facebook Group called "TPRC Weekend LSD" 2 months ago. They ( i put they as i have not into running and hardly go running since HK100) were so actives in the FB group discussing about running.

Glad our potluck session being mentions in national newspaper The Star! Happy Merdeka!

KUALA LUMPUR: People can join a Merdeka potluck gathering at 8.30am Saturday at the Bukit Aman car park.
The catch is, you have to run there to be invited.
Members of the Terence Poon Running Club (TPRC), who holds the gathering annually, are welcoming running enthusiasts to join them on their 6am morning run culminating in a breakfast gathering to celebrate Merdeka.

“We are a club that promotes multi-culturalism and unity. Anyone interested to join us for runs and subsequent gatherings are welcomed,” said TPRC member Wilfred Yeo.
He said their 16km route starts from the Bukit Aman carpark to Solaris Dutamas, Mont Kiara then back to Bukit Aman.
“We have weekly long slow distance runs on Saturdays and Sundays, where we travel long distances at a leisurely pace,” said Yeo, who was with his clubmates at Dataran Merdeka on Friday for the Merdeka celebrations.
Yeo said the team decided to make a detour while they were out on a run to check out the mood at the processions.
“It is nice to see many Malaysians out in droves to celebrate out nation's independence,” said Yeo.

FRU for 901 rally.

Argh... another rally. really feel sick when hear this "rally" word appear in media.

This round, a 100,000 rally planned by PKR to support Anwar when KL High Court finally rules on the two-year-long sodomy trial.

This round, its not weekend, its weekday, its Monday, the Monday Blue day !

As usual, Sunday morning my LSD run at Bukit Aman and i spotted this... FRU...

The Infamous water cannon lorry... Surprisingly only 1 cannon spotted at the time i leaving.

Another FRU lorry.

Grab pop-corn, let's wait for tomorrow. But 1 thing for sure, gotta go out to office earlier than usual.
You wont know whether Police will LOCKDOWN THE KL CITY again or not...
The Final countdown start now...

Runners Malaysia - Beginner to running

Runners Malaysia - A group of runners who have their usual short distance of 4 to 6 KM run on every Saturday  7.30am meet up at Bukit Aman Car Park (which at Lake Garden). Sad to mention it here that, due to lack of new beginners joining and everyone are progress to next level, there's only left one or two session runners running this 4 to 6 KM route on Saturday 7.30am. (it's sound bad, but it's a good news for runners)

Glad that saw this photo below posted by Jamie (one of the co-founder of Runners Malaysia together with Mr Wan) in Runners Malaysia Facebook group.

I dont know what's is coming up, but with the title "My First Run Clinic" it's going to be not your ordinary meet and run sessions. :)

So anyone who set their target to run healthy in 2012 next year can follow updates on Runners Malaysia Facebook group for latest development.

Some information and news about Jamie.
Looks at The Star Newspaper yesterday, 24 August 2011.

You wont get wrong footage to start your running with Runners Malaysia!

I'm the living life example!

wahaha...

End.

Running powered by Chia Seed

On this wonderful sunshine Sunday morning on 31 July 2011, as usual, it's LSD for me. When arrival saw Sifu and James chit-chating!
Guess what, newbie James signed up 2 marathons back to back for Penang Bridge International marathon in Nov and followed by Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon in early December 2011 ! Well done!

Sifu "brainstroming" James on marathon tips... "You can ran 42KM and come back safely if you follow me"!
It's sifu's famous quote.

Gathering? nah... we were waiting before start running...

This condo, I'm been wanted to snap the photos for a long long time, and today, I'm finally got the chance to snap photo while I'm  run passs....

Palazzio Sunway!

Okay, here come the main topic of the day. I'm been consuming chia seed since April, and I'm only consume it together with my Nescafe 3 in 1 together with my oat. It's been always my way to consume it in the morning as breakfast before im leaving house.

It's me, having the chia seed plain directly into the mouth... i can feel it's expanding like sago...

But recently, a friend of my gave me some links about Chia seed, and realized the method im consume Chia seed is WRONG!

After had the Chia seed, resume back to running back to Bukit Aman. Normally, usually I will start to feel hungry if I did not consume any power gel / dark chocolate / kit kat at 10th km Petronas point.
When im were having my Chia seed, i'm 1st feel some hungry-ness is kicking in and im sip some water from my hydration pack and after around 20minutes I'm totally energized !

I'm able to run like normal speed until reached at the Bukit Aman clocked 21KM.

Great! Chia seed can be my power gel substitute !
On 31 July 2011 Sunday LSD run, I'm only consume Chia Seed and plain water. No any energy foods or gels.

Next week, which was last weekend (3 Aug), I will blog about Chia Seed + energy gel.
Stay Tune.
