10th Marathon - Sundown Marathon 2011

How should I share my 10th marathon? It's my worst personal marathon.

I vomited for the 1st time ever.
I have poor planning on my nutrition.

Due to poor nutrition, I'm starving after 10km.
Due to starving, I'm start walking after 10km.
Due to hungry-ness, I drank 2 tins of milo.
2 tin of milo still not enough, I had my 1st ever meal during marathon.
Just before I'm entering into Burger King, I vomited all my milo.
After vomiting, I had my delicious Burger King.

I done a simple mistake which cost me all above.

Never ever run without power gel. Lesson learnt.

Timing: 7 hours 1 mins.

"Empower the Runner In You" Running Clinic

**Empower The Runner In You**
- Tackling your first marathon?
- Dreaming of breaking through that seemingly impossible timing?
- Want to make every training count?
- Hoping to avoid injury & recover from injury?
- Shoe Shopping?

Empower your Running Knowledge & Training with the FIRST Sport-Science based running clinic held in Kuala Lumpur.

**Date:
7 May 2011 Saturday

It's was last weekend running clinic ran by Running Guild. This clinic from 9am until 4.45pm and I'm benefits a lot on the running. With the running clinic, it's also exposed how poor Malaysian facing in the running knowledge and facilities available in the country.

There's no VO2max test available in Malaysia and it's only available in MSM only for athletes. Public have no assess to the test. The nearest for Malaysian can do such a test is Singapore. Guess Malaysians at early pre-mature stage compared to Singapore.

101 about shoes, training program for marathon and basic elements also thought. We are not professional runners nor amateur but we are passion in running who want to improve to a better running technique and things to consider.

I wish there will be second session from Running Guild ! It's really benefiting all of us!

Chief's Original Bootcamp @ Damansara Heights - 5th sessions

My experience after 5th sessions of bootcamp!

But, on my 7th & 8th sessions which were this Monday and Wednesday, i have missed out both sessions as im in recovery mood for Monday and Wednesday i got dinner with Chinese visitors. :(

Hope tomorrow i can catch up my 9th bootcamp session!

Oh yeah, this Groupon deal includes DIET plan if you read properly. To be frank, currently im having my own diet formula which im been trial and error, testing, readings to create my own diet plan. Since i joint bootcamp, my weight reduced to 73kg to 74kg depending on my meals compared to previously was floating around 77kg to 78kg. :)

I believe with the DIET plan built together with bootcamp, the effectiveness will be even greater compared to what im enjoying now.

Act now, the deal end at weekend !!!

Chief's Original Bootcamp @ Damansara Heights - 5th sessions

Yesterday was the 5th sessions of the Chief's Original Bootcamp for me @ Damansara Heights! Not sure whether the sessions are getting tougher or my upper body come to the real test which im weak of.

Warming up...

Photos taken from http://arminbaniaz.com

Argh.. im totally failed on this workout! My postures were wrong!
Room for improvement !

That was yesterday evening that im had my bootcamp session and this morning 5.30am, as usual my running gang and i were running double hills 10.8km. The running form was good. I can maintain my speed with the gang and Im even record new timing for 5km for 31mins.

The double hills since last week, i incorporated running tips from Mark William for the uphill running ! Its works since last week and this morning im perfecting the skills.

The uphill running form was good too! Its were good all the way but i can start feel my legs muscles were starting to sore or pains... alamak... its been long long time i never feel this kind of pain ! A signal to slow down?

This morning was my 3rd double hills running sessions since im started my bootcamp. Previous 1st round i managed to clock 1:11 and second round clocked 1:08. Even after the run, im feel good as legs muscles did not sore nor pain.

Just wonder how come this morning after running, my legs muscles were sore / pain! Just like how i feel after running 42km.

Anyways, 2XU compression tight kicks in! Hope my recovery can recovery just in time for tomorrow bootcamp evening session. !

Oh yeah, Im being invited to join DiGi Live Facebook For All Party tomorrow starting from 8pm @ One Utama! Yay! .

Hooyah !

The River Jungle Marathon 2011 - Registration is Open!

The Malaysia only and the best boutique marathon 42km only - The River Jungle Marathon is now open for registration !

HOW DID THE RIVER JUNGLE MARATHON 2011 COME ABOUT?

The River Jungle Marathon 2011 is back by popular demand!

The River Jungle Marathon is one of the most beautiful marathon destinations in Malaysia. Located just 20-minutes from the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the marathon is set amidst a landscape like no other. On this full marathon route, you will experience a mix of Malaysia’s beautiful landscape bringing you through valleys, rivers, dams and mountains.

Experience all this without even having to leave the road, as The River Jungle Marathon is an On Road run.

WHY THE RIVER JUNGLE MARATHON 2011?

We believe running should be fun; it shouldn’t be all about how fast we can run.

The River Jungle Marathon is not a race. There is no big prize money at the finish line. It’s simply for runners who find joy of just being able to run! It’s a run that attracts runners from all walks of life. So we recommend for you to bring a notepad and exchange numbers!

This year however, we intend to have a photography contest. So, be prepared to whip out your camera and bring it along for the run!

WHERE DO WE START / END?

The race will begin next to the Police Station Batu 18, Hulu Langat. (or Balai Polis Bt. 18, Hulu Langat) It will end, at the same place.

THE ROUTE

The first thing you need to know is that you will be running a full marathon distance. It’s 42.195 km (or a little more), and there is no other distance. It is, not for the faint of heart.

The River Jungle Marathon is a road run (all asphalt, and no, it’s not a trail run). The route will take you through the scenic villages of Hulu Langat leading you up a 1000 feet climb or about 2.5KM of non-stop uphill running, past valleys, rivers, mountain views, jungle, a hot spring, and even monkeys. Yes, monkeys (if you’re lucky).

It won’t be easy, but if you’re a nature lover who likes getting away from the usual hustle and bustle of a city road race then this will be exactly what you will be looking for!

This was how we enjoy our River Jungle Marathon last year!

We really having our fun time running the River Jungle Marathon last year!
