Postcrossing Postcards @ MH17

Its was a heartbreaking Friday morning when i decided to check my mail box in the morning before going to work. I saw these two mails from PostNL, which consists of my Postcrossing Project postcard addressed to me sent 1 year ago! 

These two postcards were in the flight of #MH17 on the way to Malaysia on 14 July 2014.

PostNL explained the details of the mail. 

Managed to register NL-257484 !!! 

Tried to register this BY-1311168 postcard but failed as postcard sent over 1 year can not be register!  

Hope the sender of this postcard read my message! I got your postcard!!!

Received a postcard from Denver, USA via #Postcrossing US-2758069 which showing the photo of "color run" held at Denver. I'm just love the postcard photo and decided to share it here. 

"Cross a mile and get a "color" thrown at you!" 

It's a 3.5 mile race.

Postcrossing - Thean Hou Temple

Last weekend, i'm was happily went to Royal Selangor Pewter to restock my postcards, and found out the postcards were sold out. no more Royal Selangor postcard for my #postcrossing ! :(

Gave my contact to the RS staff to contact if my postcard are replenish, and also tweeted RS. Just walked out RS empty hand with some disappointment.

Today, since resting, doing nothing, i have opportunity to visit Thean Hou Gong and managed to grab 1 design with 10 postcard. :)

Postcrossing resume. 

Brought 10, sending out 7 today. 3 remaining. 

While on other hand, i been exploring on "printing own postcard" ! Today, i google again, and found out oversea printing postcards have nice quality but expensive. While in local, i managed to find 1 quotation RM84.00 for 200 postcards. Art works have to provided to the printing services. 

Should i go for printing own postcard? Printing my favourite trail running photo?  

Royal Selangor Pewter Postcards series

Two months ago, I brought many many packets of Royal Selangor Pewter (RS) postcards. 

I was told, RS no longer printing new postcards. 

Thus i'm very kiasu, i sekaligus brought a lot of packets. 

It might be the last time i purchase Royal Selangor Pewter postcards. 

Just hope next visit to RS, there's still postcards for me. 

Hope i can find time to visit RS soon. 

As postcards stock are running out fast.... 

i'm really likes RS postcards design. 

It's faith. let it be.

Royal Selangor on 31 July 2011

Having breakfast at Royal Selangor with friend after my running powered by Chia Seed.

Initially we were waiting for another 2 friends to come over to join us for breakfast. So how, so where, they got lost on the way and not able to join us for breakfast.

As for me, 1st thing in mind was to fill up my stomach since I ran 21KM and still have not eaten anything yet. I need food for recovery.

This is the coffee pot. It's different from the tea pot. hehe....

My breakfast ! Although it's might looks normal, but the environment, breakfast with friend, its does makes a big different. Anyway, I'm hungry! :)

Somehow, I'm so hungry that I were ordered Breakfast & lunch together. While lunch was only serve at 11.30am onward. But since I'm "regular" the staff managed to give me "Roasted Chicken & Chips" at 11.00am! :) 

My hungry-ness, my appetite were so big on that day, I suspect was Chia Seed. Since I'm not having any energy gel but only chia seed at 10th KM point, all the energy provided by Chia Seed. When my body is relax and rest, that's where the empty-ness need to re-filled. 

As usual, each visits to Royal Selangor Pewter Visitor Centre, a pack of postcards for my Postcrossing.

Royal Selangor Pewter is one of successful home grown brand with their hard work and there's everyday thousand of tourists visiting the Visitor Centre  at Setapak. But why we as local Malaysia never visits RS ?

Royal Selangor Pewter @ 24 July 2011

On a bright Sunshine Sunday. It's was BHP Orange Run 2011  in the morning and I achieved my personal best timing for 11 KM which was sub-1 timing ---> 58mins 40 second. 

After the morning race, I'm free. Im got no date. I got nothing to do. I done all my laundry. I done all my ironing. 

It's just another lazy Sunday. Suddenly Royal Selangor Pewter (RS) sparked in my mind. Oh yeah, I need to re-stock my Royal Selangor postcards! 

I'm visiting Royal Selangor Pewter again. The last time visiting RS was about one month ago. 

Royal Selangor now have changed their theme! It's Mooncake festival ! It's very nice! 

Initially was planning just to get postcards and leave, but somehow, my feel telling me that I should stay a litter bit longer at Royal Selangor. 

So i stayed back.

 Actually I had my lunch before visiting Royal Selangor but somehow the kids sit beside me were having Roasted Chicken & chips. The smell of roasted chicken were calling me! 

At first, I'm able to ignore the smell... the craving. 

But as time getting longer and the smell still flying to my nose, I gave up. I went to counter and ordered the same dish! But, but its was SOLD OUT. :( 

My hungry-ness was activated! I need to eat something. So I'm ordered Chicken sandwich! 

Very nice chicken sandwich! I'm loving it.Next time, I must try the Roasted Chicken & chips! 

I must satisfy my craving ! 

Re-stocked my Royal Selangor postcards... <3 <3 <3 ...

Jeng Jeng Jeng, finally after I'm actives for 452 days in postcrossing, I finally want to declare that I'm been fall in love with Royal Selangor postcards as below!

 I sent various type of postcards and various and many more postcard, which you can view on my postcrossing wall and I love Royal Selangor postcards :)

 Starting from the least favourite, and the last postcard is the last postcard i ever wanted to send out! Im love the design and art of Royal Selangor!

On last weekend, I finally, finally, together with my LYN friends, I proposed Royal Selangor's cafe as our second round yam cha session! It's turn out to be pleasure for all of us! 

We enjoyed our session and there's a leather lazy seat for you! 

Ah, the next table ordered tea, which using the actual pewter tea pot ! next time must try it!

Royal Selangor Pewter Postcards

Im been active in the Postcrossing where you are randomly request for an address and send the email to that random person in anywhere around the world.

Initially, i was thinking hard where to get postcard around my area which is Setapak. Its really hard to get a postcard within 1km from my condo! Really disappointed.

Then i suddenly thinks of eh, there's a Royal Selangor pewter nearby my condo! Why not im just try my luck whether i can find any postcards there or not!

Yeah... they have postcards! Im loving it.

This postcard, this postcard which im recently sent to my friend in oversea, and she loving it. Previously when she was in Malaysia, she and me never cross mind of visiting Royal Selangor Pewter!

One day, we shall visit Royal Selangor pewter factory together.

Hope that the day will be a reality.
